Secret of successful school drop-outs revealed -- MBA style

I'm already nearing my quarter-life and personally, I don't think I've done so much yet, which sometimes makes me nervous. Our parents always reminded us of how important it is to stay in school, get good grades, and finish a degree. When I was in high school, I learned that a number of rich and famous people, who dropped out of school, turned out to be more than fine and actually contributed significantly in their generation. It’s tough to keep up with studies after knowing that we can be potentially of becoming like them too. During college, when I'm faced with an engineering problem, I always thought that Mark Zuckerburg (founder of Facebook) never suffered hell like this when he was my age. I felt that he's just lucky or very very VERY talented. How could he achieve so much and be influential to this world with quitting school? I guess he have prepared for the right-timing, combined it with their God-given talent, hard work, and prayer.

Don’t know who these people are? You may read through these articles and you would see various people (actors, scientists, politicians, businessmen, writers, singers, chefs, etc.) that you wouldn’t even believe to be drop outs.

Aside from downright luck, I think these people mastered a way to get through life by planning. Their first plan may not work but I think they have developed it to becoming who they are today. It really depends on the choice of the person if they wanted to attain what they wanted to be, as long as they know who they are at the moment, what they need to obtain their success, and how to use these resources. In attaining success, you must ask yourself if the costs are worth your achievements? Walt Disney took a lot of effort from being a dropout, a local bank advertiser, to becoming a small time commercial company owner, then worked his way to pioneering a company which created the famous Disney films today. Walt is one of the many people who planned their way to what they desire to be. Even when faced with obstacles, the original plan may be altered so that it will be more attainable. I’m thinking if I planned for something unreachable with my current status, then I would lose the motivation and inspiration to get what I aim for. The life-planning cycle is like project management where your project is your self-growth. These people have motivated me to complete my life plan as how they did. If it’s too hard or easy for me, then I would amend it to something more attainable or challenging.
